Richard Frost, LLB
Partner

The senior partner at EJ Winter, Richard has more than 30 years experience as a qualified solicitor. He is a member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP), Solicitors for the Elderly and is a member of the panel of deputies appointed by the Office of the Public Guardian.

He specialises in Wills, Administration of Estates, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney and Residential and Commercial Property transactions.

Martin Chandler, LLB
Partner

Martin has been dealing with litigation matters at EJ Winter for over 20 years. He deals with most types of civil and criminal litigation and holds the Law Society Higher Courts (Criminal Proceedings) qualification.

Tim Clift, BA
Partner

After qualifying in 1989 Tim joined EJ Winter & Son in 1999. He has a broad range of expertise and experience which enables him to meet the demands of many clients.

His main areas of practice are property, both residential and commercial, and, having gained a strong reputation in the field of Landlord and Tenant law, he now heads the newly formed Property Litigation Department dealing with tenancy disputes, lease extensions, enfranchisement and service charge collection. He also advises on general contract disputes and commercial issues.

Tim has a no-nonsense approach and realises the importance of giving his clients value for money.

Paul Kilshaw, LLB
Partner

Paul is a leading Residential and Commercial Property Solicitor having developed a very loyal client base over the years. He now works almost solely on recommendation which is a testament to the efficiency and diligence Paul and his dedicated team show every client.

Recognised as a leading figure in the social housing sector much of Paul’s time is now spent dealing with the much needed and increasing number of shared ownership properties being sold. He also has particular interest in lease extensions and regularly provides assistance to people and groups wanting to extend their leases or acquire their freeholds.

Paul has spoken widely on Residential Property matters and provides regular updates to local businesses with interest in the area. Many local developers also instruct him seeking the recognised high level of service and value Paul has built his reputation on.

Julie-Ann Burger, LLB
Solicitor

Julie-Ann qualified in 1990 and thus has 20 years experience in Family Practice, having concentrated virtually exclusively on this area of the law. She is a specialist in all areas of family law. She is a member of Resolution (formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association) and thus subscribes to a Code of Practice ensuring matters are dealt with in a conciliatory and amicable fashion.

As a trained collaborative lawyer Julie-Ann is committed to this process of resolving issues whilst preserving the dignity of the parties and maintaining family relationships where possible, which is of particular importance where children are involved.

Cheryl Brabon
Licensed Conveyancer

Cheryl has worked with EJ Winter for over 25 years and as a licensed conveyancer for the past 12 years, carrying out all forms of residential conveyancing during this period. Cheryl is married with one daughter and has many interests which include reading, travelling and socialising.
